URGENT NEED: 120 People willing to donate $25 for emergency surgery for an Orphan child.

We only have about a week to get this done.  Can you imagine being a child born into the poorest country in the western hemisphere? Can you imagine having medical issues since birth? Can you imagine being abandoned because of it?



This child's name is Mannie Moise. He is 5 years old.
Mannie was born with a severe hernia. At six months, Haitian doctors preformed emergency surgery to save his life but because of limited resources did the minimal amount of repair. After surgery, Mannie's mom abandoned him  because of his disfigurement and her inability to care for him.

Mannie is one of the orphans we are now caring for in Cite Soleil. He is unable to eat without severe abdominal pain and for the last two months has been throwing up after eating. We asked Jean to bring him to the hospital and doctors told us he needs emergency surgery, but he is too weak to operate. Mannie will die without this operation.

We have hospitalized him but need to fund this life saving surgery.

If 120 people donated $25 each, we could make this happen.  It seems so little, to save the life of a child. Click here to help!

A real life story...
Sue spent 8 years working with young people on spring break at a small school in the slums of Jamaica. This school like many in Kingston was very poor. The desks were in horrible shape, the black board broken. Even though this part of Kingston was one of the poorest areas in Jamaica, the teachers came in their very best clothes, pressed and well groomed and took great pride in their job teaching the children. It was such a contrast to their surroundings. When Sue was leaving for the last time, she thanked a teacher for what she was doing for the children and said, "God be with you in your poverty." With kind and gentle eyes the teacher replied, "God be with you in your abundance."
